Sierra 28K is a hand-curated outdoor activity guide covering the Sierra Nevada and surrounding ranges — walks, family-friendly outings, trail runs, hikes, bouldering spots, and peak-bagging objectives across seven regions from Lake Tahoe south to Sequoia.
Regions covered: North Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, Tuolumne Meadows, Mammoth Lakes, Bishop & the Eastern Sierra, Yosemite Valley, and Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Activities are manually researched and reflect typical conditions — not live trail status. Closures, fire restrictions, snow, and seasonal road access can change without notice. Always verify conditions before heading out.
The chips at the top filter by activity type (Walk, Family, Run, Hike, Bouldering, Peak Bagging) or difficulty (Easy, Moderate, Hard). Multiple chips can be active at once. In Season shows activities that are typically accessible during the current calendar month based on historical patterns. Search filters place names in real time. Expand/collapse all regions with the controls just above the list.
Tap ★ on any region header or individual activity row to add it to your list. Your stars are saved in this browser's local storage — there are no user accounts and nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data will erase your list. Use Share → Copy link to generate a permanent URL that encodes your current selections, so you can bookmark it or send it to someone.
Each place shows an info ↗ link to the most authoritative source we could find (National Park Service, US Forest Service, AllTrails, local trail orgs, etc.). Each activity has a Search ↗ link that runs a targeted Google search for current conditions, trip reports, and directions.
Once you've starred items, open My List and use the share buttons to copy your list as a shareable URL, plain text, Markdown, or a CSV spreadsheet with full activity details.
